‘Dabanng’ has already beaten the first day collection of Aamir Khan starrer ‘3 Idiots’.

‘Dabangg’ has grossed Rs 14.5 cr on the first day surpassing ‘3 Idiots’ which collected Rs 13 crore on Christmas last year. The film has already collected three times more than Salman Khan’s last big hit ‘Wanted’. ‘Wanted’ which was an Eid release last year, had collected Rs. 4.62 cr on the first day.

According to some trade sources if the trend continues and Salman’s loyals continue to flock in theatres again and again then the movie is likely to close at 45-48 crore in its opening week surpassing 3 Idiots which collected Rs. 41 crore last year.

Not many believed that it will be Salman who will break Aamir starrer ‘3 Idiots’ record set last year and many said that it will take years for someone to even come close to that mark. But Salman who is celebrating his silver jubilee in Bollywood with ‘Dabangg’ got the priceless gift from his royal fans who broke the record of the record which was once said it’s unbreakable.
